Spring is here!  (though it is still the east coast and it's not too late for snow)
Live Bootleg by Kasim Sulton is out!  I mixed the CD around the holidays and you can order a copy here:

He's got a busy touring schedule this summer with solo gigs and tours with Don Felder (Eagles) and Todd Rundgren and Yes (the Yestival!)
I'm still writing music for the Italian cartoon, Spike Team.  There are 26 episodes and I'm half way through.
I scored a short movie called "Keeping On."  My long time friend, Rick Rose, produced the true story of a complicated legal battle over inheritance and gay rights. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5763714/?ref_=nm_flmg_com_1)
I've started writing more piano music.  This time I'll be tackling more difficult levels of performance.
Thanks for checking in!

Welcome.  I released my CD, Classic Songbook for Piano, in the summer of 2015.  Thank you to those who bought a copy.  Buying CD's is one of the last and few ways to support music.  Most people can now listen to music for free.  Sadly, as with most industries, we musicians are to blame for our own industry's slow demise.  We should have known that once our music could be converted to 1's and 0's, that it wouldn't be long before anyone could make an exact copy of our work.  But we still create.  I also have sheet music for my piano pieces if you would like to play along!  Give the gift of music!

One More Christmas Song

I am very fortunate to be working with Kasim Sulton.  We met over a year ago through AudioWorks Producers Group, a company that works with animation and audio post production.  Kasim and I wrote and performed a new Christmas song that will be one of the tracks on his upcoming live CD.

Kasim Sulton is perhaps best known for his work with Todd Rundgren’s Utopia joining the band in 1976.
He remained in Utopia until their split in 1986, He also wrote and sang lead on their Top 20 hit “Set Me Free.”
Utopia briefly reformed in 1992 . Kasim has continued to be regular in Todd Rundgren’s touring band.

In addition, Sulton has performed with Joan Jett, Hall and Oates, Cheap Trick, Richie Sambora, Mick Jagger, Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, Patti Smith, Blue Oyster Cult, and Meat Loaf over his nearly 40-year career.

He played bass and sang backing vocals on Meat Loaf’s multi-million selling album “Bat Out of Hell” in 1978 and continued to be a part of Meat Loaf’s career by acting as his Musical Director for his touring band Neverland Express.

He became a member of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts in the late 1980′s where he toured, recorded and contributed songs. In 2012 he became a full time member of Blue Oyster Cult.

His solo career includes 1982′s “Kasim” album which features the hit “Don’t Break My Heart”, 2002′s “Quid Pro Quo” and 2014′s “3″ which featured a guest appearance from Todd Rundgren on the lead single “The Clocks all Stopped”

I'll be back with more info after the holidays.

Tony

What I've been doing for the last 6 months.

Writing.  Writing.  Writing.  I moved to New York in 2015 to focus on piano music and a career as a composer, though I spent 20+ years writing for film and tv in LA.
With the piano music on my new CD, I wanted to emulate and write in the style of my favorite composers:  Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Satie, etc.
I hope you like it.
